Housemark’s Housing Data and Analytics Summit on 6 October is the only data event dedicated to the social housing sector, featuring data experts from a range of industries sharing their insights on how to harness the power of data. Our third speaker profile focuses on the ‘Godfather of Data Literacy’, Jordan Morrow.
Get to know Jordan Morrow
Jordan is known as the “Godfather of Data Literacy”, having helped pioneer the field by building one of the world’s first data literacy programmes and driving thought leadership. He has developed a curriculum designed to help people learn and improve their overall data and analytical literacy, gain an understanding of how to use data and analytics more effectively, and help prepare them to work with the large amounts of data being produced.
Jordan has served as the Chair of the Advisory Board for The Data Literacy Project, has spoken at numerous conferences around the world and is an active voice in the data and analytics community. He has also helped companies and organisations around the world, including the United Nations, build and understand data literacy.
His book, ‘Be Data Literate: The Data Literacy Skills Everyone Needs to Succeed’ focuses on understanding the four levels of analytics, how to analyse data and the key steps to making smarter, data-informed decisions. It’s the essential guide to developing the curiosity, creativity and critical thinking necessary to make anyone data literate.
Jordan will join us virtually, live from the United States, to help the housing sector understand ‘What is data literacy and why is it important?’
