There’s still time to connect and collaborate with your community by joining our Specialist Clubs in 2021! You can now sign up for our upcoming Club meetings this autumn! There’s no better time to grow your network, develop your knowledge and share best practice with colleagues from across the social housing sector. Get re-energised and inspired about how to make a difference to your organisation through our Specialist Clubs programme.

Our Specialist Clubs feature a range of topics tailored for social housing professionals across a range of different business functions. Each Club has a dedicated Club Manager, as well as a fantastic line-up of speakers and thought leaders that are passionate about their subject area and will bring to life each topic.

They’ll provide you with inspiring content and tangible takeaways that you can use within your organisation, so you can ultimately enhance the lives of your residents. Our Clubs also provide you with the chance to network with a community of landlords to share best practice and grow your network.

At all our Clubs, content is driven by members’ priorities and requests, truly giving you the chance to shape the agenda for the future. Between meetings you’ll benefit from specialist topic briefings and access to our Knowledge Base, an online database of housing articles and case studies. There’s still time to join each Club for the final meeting of 2021:

Customer Experience

Now more than ever it’s important to make sure your tenants are satisfied and it’s a key focus in the Social Housing White Paper. This Club explores both the reactive and proactive nature of customer service, and the tools, skills and processes you need to define and deliver positive customer experiences.

“The meeting delivered valuable insight…and useful tips and hints about improving customer satisfaction and use of the data.” Helen Beeson, Customer Contact Manager, Norwich City Council

Digital Futures

There is no doubt that the pandemic has accelerated digitalisation across the sector. Through the club, we continue to embrace the opportunities and benefits that digital solutions bring – expanding your digital strategy and exploring new innovations to improve systems, services and enhance your customer experience.

“It was interesting to see how companies are working. Looking outside of my organisation helps us understand and address common issues.” Gareth Morgan, IT & Data Manager, Golden Lane Housing

Repairs and Asset Management

Effective repairs and asset management is a vital function for the sector. This Club looks at a range of practical and strategic approaches to ensure you are delivering a productive, positive service for your business and customers. Ideal for those responsible for achieving maximum value from assets.

“There’s always loads of relevant information delivered by the speakers on the day, and plenty of time to compare notes with our peers.” Andrew Vass, Together Housing

Voids

Lockdown and restrictions in 2021 increased the number of voids across the sector. Landlords are feeling the impact of lost income, increasing pressure to get properties to a lettable standard and to minimise the disruption in rent. Improving your voids performance and communicating your journey to your board and other key stakeholders is vital. Join our Club to share best practice and common challenges and explore solutions to maximise income and minimise risk.

“Very informative speakers and a good opportunity to discuss common problems with colleagues and peers”. Victoria Roberts, Allocations Manager, emh homes

Estate Services

The importance of home has been highlighted by the pandemic and creating places where your customers want to live is incredibly important. Estate services play a big part in creating happier, healthier communities. This Club tackles operational and strategic elements of delivering estate services, identifying good practice, and discussing and debating new approaches and performance.

“Sharing of knowledge with other members is invaluable to keeping on top of best practice”. Chris Doughty, Radian

Welfare Reform

Record numbers of tenants are now receiving Universal Credit and with an uncertain economic outlook for 2021, welfare reform will continue to impact both housing providers and tenants. With a range of innovative initiatives out there, this Club provides a supportive network for you to exchange knowledge, access latest policy and share lessons learned from practical approaches.

“The meetings provide insight into the impact of Covid-19, ideas of new ways of working and inspiration for new projects”. Laura Thomas, Income Management Manager, South Essex Homes
