Social Landlords are seeking more effective methods to analyse their data to enhance decision-making and provide deeper insights. SQL (Structured Query Language) lets you access and manipulate databases, it is a popular language used across all types of applications.
This three-day course is aimed at those with no experience of SQL and reporting. The course will cover the components of SQL Querying and provide you with the knowledge to understand how to query multiple tables, set operators and subqueries.
The course is split into three parts, delivered over three full days.
Part 1 includes: Writing Select Queries, Sorting and filtering, Querying Multiple Tables and Set Operators
Part 2 includes: Grouping Data, Built-in functions, Subqueries, Correlated Subqueries and Common table expressions
Part 3 includes: Pivoting and Grouping Sets, Using Windows Ranking, Offset, and Aggregate Functions, Partitioning, Using DML to Modify Data and Introduction to SQL Programming
Who is this course for?
This course is aimed at people working in social housing at all levels, particularly those who work in Data Analytics roles and have no experience of creating reports using SQL.
